to begin, I want to thank all of you guys for continued support through my training and dieting since I was obese last year.
god knows, i would’ve still been supplement pimping

i finally finished up a cutting cycle, and lost no strength at all up to this weight.

Height: 5 feet 8.5 inches
Weight: around 156 lbs

got here eventually from 205 lbs.

pics were taken in the morning, relaxed

Front:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/flyyydreamgrl/frontone.jpg

Side:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/flyyydreamgrl/IMG_0469.jpg

Back:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/flyyydreamgrl/IMG_0473.jpg

i’m debating on whether i should cut/bulk?
I want to get bigger, but
intuition says i need to lose a few more pounds (like around 4-5) to hit the 10-12% range so that I can start bulking.

i’m open to suggestions, guys

My current BW is close to 82kg(83.5kg last time) but waist size is 87cm.
Is it mean that I was MUCH leaner back days?

Welcome, Mavro to exercise biology. Good first post and well written. Do write something about yourself in Miscellaneous about what you do and stuff..

Thanks Anoop for the welcome, and thanks for the opportunity to contribute.

G’day to all forum members from down under!

A few words of intro about me:

I’m 35, have been lifting weights since I was 16, and have been a competitive powerlifter for the last 3 years (best equipped lifts: 227.5 kgs squat, 160kgs bench, 245kgs deadlift @ 75kgs, best raw lifts: 200kgs squat, 140kgs bench, 242.5 kgs deadlift @ 75kgs). I’m a life-time 100% natural.

My academic background is in Philosophy (Philosophy of Science and Meta-ethics), in which I hold an Honours degree (and a half-finished PhD thesis, currently on hold).

Professionally speaking, I run my own weight loss consultancy service and also do contract work for government departments promoting physical activity interventions in work-place settings.

I’m married (15 years next May) and have three kids under 6 (!)...needless to say, life is very busy and noisy around these parts.

I’m very happy to have discovered this site, as I think it exemplifies the clear-thinking and evidence-based approach to exercise science that is sadly lacking in most quarters (excepting some obvious sources like Lyle McDonald, Alan Aragon, Jamie Hale et. al.).

I look forward to learning further from Anoop and other members in future, and sharing what few insights I’ve gathered over the years.

Here’s some recent pics:

So here’s my log for my UD 2.0 run, which will be implemented around next monday
i’ll post complete workout/diet scheds on each day, really trying to adhere to this diet

a little bit of history: previously, when I dieted down from 15%, i lost a significant amount of strength and muscle. I bulked for a cycle back up to around 15-16%, and am now planning on utilising this diet so I won’t see my strength and muscle take such hits when I go under 15%
to get to 12%, should take about 5-6 weeks (just in time for reunion with some friends)
I might run another cycle to get to 10% afterwards, we’ll see

I am also sortof competing with my roommate to lose weight - he’s using p90x instead. we’ll see how that works out

I know many of you have experience with carb cycling, so im open to suggestions. Days 1-4 (and a half) will be at around 1250 cals with depletion workouts. light cardio the days i’m not doing the depletion workouts. I plan on using the EC stack on the low carb days and creatine on the carb up days.

school’s officially ending next monday so just in time for this diet- here we go!
