So, being on a diet you are allowed a cheat day now and then so you don’t go crazy.
Question is when is it least harmful and best scheduled?  On the heaviest workout day, rest day, day after heavy day, day before, ect….
Thanks,

if i’m not mistaken, cheat days have some physiological benefit in addition to psychological
of course, i’m not sure about the specifics, so i may be just grasping at straws here - i hope anoop can answer this

Taking a tactic from the UD 2.0, you place cheating around a heavy workout so that more of the calories are partitioned into muscle, instead of fat

I would have it on the heavy day. If you are having some high calorie food, why not have it on a day where you need the calories the most? Ideally, you should have high calories before and after your heavy workouts. But I am not sure how much difference will it make to have the cheat day before or after the heavy day. Either way you might compromise a bit of the anabolic stimuli.
