That’s true. I might have to close the commenting section after one month of the article release. Or come up with a better anti spam system. Thanks for the reply.

Anoop - What do you think about having a search field on the main site?

Hi Omar,

Where have you been? Haven’t seen you in awhile.

That’s a great suggestion. I should be able to get it this week. And thanks for taking the time.

And I think we need to get the forum up and running. Not many new people. I am thinking of having like a road map for weight loss/getting in shape. And then a log for people in the forum.

Also thinking of review of products & books . I re-wrote the About page and added avatars to comments. See that?

Hi Anoop

I’ve been popping in to check if you’ve posted new articles. I haven’t had much to say but have been lurking the forum following others interesting discussions.

I would love to see the main site and forum get more participation.  I saw your updated About page and avatar enabled comments. I think they are great improvements to the site.  I also think a workout log sub-forum is a good idea. However, why not make it different to all the other sites out there?  Instead of plain logging workouts, why not make log-keepers more accountable to colleagues on the forum and make it a forum condition that members have to either post standardised photos or videos for every month of the log depending on whether their goal is physique or strength improvement.  Almost every fitness forum has a workout log sub-forum and they are all the same.  Lists of exercises and numbers which is fairly uninspiring and don’t mean much except to the log-keeper, attracting a few ‘good job’ comments on the first page or so. With photos or videos, however, I think this would encourage more forum participation and camaraderie.  What do you think?

Hi Omar,

I like the way you think. That is part of the reason I didn’t start a exercise log sub forum.

I am thinking of making a page which shows ina few simple steps of how to lose weight and get in shape . And the last step will be accountability and motivation and there the exercise or diet log will come into play. But as you said there should be a better way. The whole keeping log gets too boring and too long. I was thinking maybe getting people to focus on 1-3 things which are most important that they can keep up with. I like the picture idea too. I just feel like there is a lot more we can do in this feild.

Do you know anyone who can do php or java coding and stuff. And thanks again.

Unfortunately I don’t know anyone who can do web design. Bodybuilding.com’s BodySpace template has their members’ progress photos all displayed chronologically on one page.  I like that simple design. If you wanted something different maybe you could arrange photos horizontally like a photo reel.  Hovering the mouse over each image would display the date the photo was taken, bodyweight and measurements. I like the idea of integrating it with the main content of the site and with other members.

What kind of web do you do, Anatoly? Regular HTML?

I like the body pictures idea too. I might have call up someone in India to see if they can do it cheaply.

And can you guys look at the “How to get in shape” and give some suggestions

Thanks Mumford and glad you like it. I am planning a few changes so you might see more here.

I just did some tweaking to another theme. Just wanted to get it look like the homepage.
