Hey Guys,
What suggestions do you have for a low cal/neut. food for snacking.  Want to have something around that’s ok to over indulge in.
thanks in advance,

Nothing that tastes good LOL.

Carrots, cucumbers, celery, rice cakes and the like are a few things that you usually get sick of eating before you have done too much damage. For me it’s peanuts or almonds.

Hi Metroeast Beast,

Welcome to Exercise Biology.

Maybe not the answer you are looking for. But I have heard a lot of anecdotes about a fruit blunting hunger. It seems to have to do with liver glycogen repletion. Fructose goes straight to liver to fill liver glycogen unlike other sugars.

And just be wary of eating too much starchy carbs like carrots. Nuts are good, but you can easily add up a lot of fat calories.

Yes the weight watchers use the points.  Interesting how that works with the portion size and the value given
Guess it’s easier to count than Diet.

Spent a long time in the grocery store this weekend looking at labels for lunch items.
I ended up creating a meal that should last me several days - 1 pack Mexican flavor rice, 2 cans chunk chicken, 2 cans whole kernal corn, 3 cans of different types of beans.  Rinsed everything to help lower the sodium and put it all in a gallon zip log bag.  So, now I’ve got a healthy meal that’s easy to eat and fix in a rush.

thanks again,

MEB
