I completely agree with the skeptical part and that we are not that rational. This has been known since Daniel Kahnemann showed how humans are irrational and not logical as we previously thought.This is one big part why an evidence based approach evolved. There is lot of biases and heuritics that we use to make our decisions.
I usually have a hard time with articles that throw a lot of ideas around and people are just rambling on their philosophy.
